They were childhood sweethearts. They got married in 2000 right after the successful release of the film, Kaho Na Pyar Hain which was directed by Rakesh Roshan. They looked like angels that had descended from heaven. The wedding took place at a heavily guarded Golden Palms Resort and Spa. Very close friends and family members were invited to this grand event.

These two exchanged rings and hearts in 2007. The wedding was very privately conducted with minimal interference of media and publicity. Amrita found the love of her life when she met Shakeel Ladak. She had met many men who were not her kind of men. After that, they had a nikah. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were the show stoppers at the event, although other stars also made the evening dazzle.

From these instances, we can understand how important weddings are to Bollywood’s stars and to what extent they can go to make their wedding a grand success. They are a source of inspiration for us. They make us feel hopeful for a happy wedding with friends and family and with people we love.
